Why Iran is A Political Time Bomb
67Why Iran is a ticking time bomb-
The Islamic Republic of Iran was in the press lately for its suspected nuclear farming and uranium production. The President of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad refused to cease production of uranium.
The nation is divided due to a recent election scandal involving accused ballot stuffing and bribery. Ahmadinejad’s opponent, Mir Hossein Mousavi has installed anger in the hearts of the majority of the Iranian public; revolution and protest was thick in the air. Tehran’s streets were full of protesters during the weeks after June 13th. Shouts of ‘death to the dictator’ were heard from the rooftops. This was an enormous event due to Ahmadinejad’s rule, often described as a dictatorship, is strict at the best of times.
Ahmadinejad and the president’s close advisors denied any ballot stuffing or bribery and stated that the Iranian majority were over reacting over the incident. In the mind of Ahamdinejad, he knows what is best for the Middle Eastern nation. He assumed office on 3rd of August 2005. After five years, the public seem to have had enough. Various bloggers and certain Iranians feel for the president as none of the allegations have been proven.
He states his reason for Iran’s nuclear activity and uranium production is due to nuclear power possessed by other powerful nations; Israel in particular.
The official Iranian police, or the Basij, were overwhelmed on the day of the largest protest (June 20th 2009) and many were injured and some left dead. This is where the British public came in. Iranian internet and television was blocked by the government so as news wouldn’t leak. This, however, failed due to a handful of Persian hackers who used www.Twitter.com to broadcast and report videos and news to the public outside of the nation. A surge of ‘Tweets’ from all nations, Britain in particular, gave thanks and advice to the Iranian public(who now had access due to a select few).
It has been almost eight months since the first protest in Iran; the protests have been played down during the last eight months in Iran according to CNN. February 11th, the anniversary of the first Persian revolution, was a disappointment for the Iranian public because many thought this the day in which the Iranian people would be free. While protests in Iran are inconsistent in their size, they are having effect on the dictator and the supporters of Ahmadinejad; panic is rife throughout his organisation.
It is only a matter of time until the Islamic Republic of Iran is a free Nation and this could be a blessing to world peace. If the Iranian dictators get their hands on nuclear weaponry, mass disaster may ensue. Alternatively, the Americans and the British may have to invade to prevent this occurrence.
Some believe Iran to be doomed; either doomed by dictatorship, war involving the UN or even, in some people’s mind, a corrupt communist society. This is often the views people have on the situation since it is believed that, if Mousavi was elected in the first place, Iran would still be in the same state as eight months ago. Mousavi is thought to be two faced by many of the Iranian public; made obvious by tweets reaching the UK, the revolution is, in a way, powered by corruption itself. Iran, the ticking time Bomb.

"The nation is divided due to a recent election scandal involving accused ballot stuffing and bribery."
The population of Iran has long been divided..the recent election issues, and ongoing protests are part of discontent that has festered since before the Anglo-Iranian Oil Company (from which British Petroleum descended) started playing around with the oil rich state..
It didn't help that the United States funded and politically backed the coup in 1953...overturning the democratically elected government....because they nationalized their oil..
There are Iranians I know who believe that, regardless of what the media represents, the United States is secretly backing the current Iranian regime.
It wouldn't be the first time....and companies like KBR have offices and do business there. Much of the materials that have gone into rebuilding Iraq have come from Iran, as well....
There's a lot of money floating around...
